Cambridge Touring Productions started life as Cambridge Touring Theatre. A group of friends keen to further their skills and passion of accessible theatre for the whole family.
The team have written five original shows based on well-loved family classic stories. These shows have toured extensively throughout the UK and appeared in many festivals include Latitude and the Edinburgh Fringe.
In 2017 Cambridge Touring Productions was born, working with many of the leading venues in the country such as Chatsworth House, Leeds Castle, Alnwick Castle and many National Trust properties. Meet The Team

Rosie Humphreys
Executive Director/Producer
Rosie studied Drama and English at Exeter University, trained as a teacher and then worked for the English National Opera in London before moving to Cambridge. In 2002 she set up Cambridge Touring Theatre (now Cambridge Touring Productions) which toured to over 100 venues per year. She writes, directs and produces her own work and the works of others. She is currently producing and promoting an Open Air Theatre Season and is a Programmer and Trustee for The Southwold Arts Centre.

Barry Evans
Director/Lyricist
Barry has been working with CTP since 2002 as an actor, writer and director. Recent experiences include acting in and directing various Dickens adaptations, involvement in pantomimes and directing shows for Cambridge Touring Theatre. Barry runs drama workshops and teaches in local Cambridge schools. Barry’s philosophy of inclusion and the importance of good work for children has integrated every part of our work.

Simon Humphreys
Composer/Musical Director
Simon trained in Music at Exeter University. He has written the music for all Cambridge Touring Productions, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Robin Hood’, ‘The Sword in the Stone’, ‘Wind in the Willows’ and ‘Treasure Island’. He has also written incidental music for productions of ‘Under Milk Wood’, ‘Twelfth Night’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘Cider with Rosie’. Simon is a teacher and winner of the Kavli Medal for Education from The Royal Society..

Tom Curran
Musical Director/Arranger
Tom trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He is the arranger for all of Cambridge Touring Theatre’s productions. Credits include: Musical Director for ‘Cinderella’ (Civic Theatre, Chelmsford) and Musical Supervisor for ‘Treasure Island’ (Cambridge Touring Theatre). He has worked extensively in the West End as an Arranger, and was recently nominated for a Tony Award for his orchestrations of the hit musical ‘Six’ about the six wives of Henry VIII.
